The following is an email from the Stake Presidency, dated Oct 24, 2024
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
As a stake presidency we wish to express our sincere gratitude and love for each of you. Each of our lives presents unexpected and often challenging circumstances that, at times, may cause us to feel a little weary. At such times, we may remember the Lord’s tender counsel, “be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great” (D&C 64:33)
We testify that one of those “small things” is the opportunity to unite our faith in Jesus Christ by gathering as a stake for stake conference. We are pleased to have Elder Matthew L. Carpenter, general authority Seventy, presiding over our conference this weekend, October 26-27. We invite you to join us for the following sessions:
Saturday Oct. 26th, 3:30-5:30pm: Stake leadership meeting
For all members of stake and ward councils along with counselors and secretaries
7:00-9:00pm: Saturday Evening Adult Session
For all adult members 18 years of age and older.
Sunday Oct. 27th, 8:00-8:45am: Special YSA Devotional with Elder Carpenter
10:00am-12:00pm: General Session
For all stake members
Saturday meetings will be held at the stake center, 8732 N Desert Canyon Rd (Heatherwood building). For the Sunday general session, please attend at the building where you usually attend for Sunday worship services. To help with parking, we invite those who are close enough to walk to please do so (weather permitting). If you are prevented from attending due to health concerns, please contact your bishop for streaming broadcast information.
We love you and sincerely look forward to seeing you this weekend and having the unique blessing of learning together from Elder Carpenter as well as members of our own stake.
Sincerely,
The Stake Presidency
Mark B. James, Brendan T. Stoner, M. Shon Hawkes
